FABIAN SCHMIDT

TROMBONIST & MUSIC EDUCATOR

Fabian Schmidt is a trombonist with the Brandenburg State Orchestra in Frankfurt/Oder and a music educator based in Berlin. His career has led him to perform as a guest with some of Germany's most renowned orchestras, including the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Gürzenich Orchestra Cologne, and the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen.

In addition to his work as a tenor and bass trombonist, he also plays bass trumpet and euphonium. Fabian regularly performs as a trombonist at the Babylon Cinema for silent films and serves as a guest bass trombonist/tubist for the musical “The Lion King” in Hamburg.

Fabian is also dedicated to nurturing the next generation of musicians. He teaches promising students at the Bach-Gymnasium, which is affiliated with the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music, teaches brass instrument pedagogy at the Berlin University of the Arts, and leads a trombone class at the Béla Bartók Music School in Berlin.
